Danger Zone Remake RG & Diff?
« on: August 25, 2008, 02:53:50 AM »
I just purchased and drilled a Danger Zone remake from my local pro shop but it did not come with a spec sheet.  I found a write-up for it on Brunswick's website, but it does not state the core numbers.  Does anyone know what the RG and Diff are for a 15 pounder?

Was this exact core used in any other ball released within the last few years?

Isn't the Mike Aulby MVP a danger Zone? If it is, here are the specs
RG Max: 2.609
RG Min: 2.563
Diff: .046

Wow, the core looks very similar to the Danger Zone's.  Nice find.

The LT48 Gold is a Danger Zone.  IIRC the Mike Aulby MVP is a remake of Zone Defense.

Does the Danger Zone have the same core as what was in the Rhino LE because this write-up states that the LT48 Gold had the same core found in the Rhino LE:

Ahh.  You're certainly right.  I think the LT-48 Gold is a closer "numbers match" to the Danger Zone, but the Aulby MVP had the Danger Zone core, but the slightly weaker cover.  I know there is a subtle difference between the two(Danger/Aulby MVP).

The Rhino LE core from the JP LT-48 has the same numbers as the Red Alert. It, in turn has a lower average RG (1.7, vs 2.5 for the DZ) and a high RG Diff/flare rating (.055" vs . .047") than the Danger Zone.

If someone has a place for me to put it, I have an Excel chart that a Brunswick rep sent me way back when (I think it was 1997). It has the average RG, DIff, and coverstock names from older balls. It's only about 78 balls long. It goes from the Amber Zone to the Navy Quantum.
