Revamping BrunsNick.com -- ideas?
« on: February 11, 2015, 03:46:09 PM »
Hey everyone!

Been working on a whole new design for the website, been so many years since I messed with it. I'm starting up the engines again, time to add some original content! Still in the process of getting the past articles and videos up again so bear with me here. :)

I think a full archive of all balls you drill should be available.  I like Jeff carters page, he shows all of his layouts like you do.  He stopped updating it :(..
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid
Coming soon...???

It's a lot of work, that's why. haha

I think with this new system, it will be easier than it was before. I can update pages and post from my phone. Wouldn't be hard to add arsenal pics.

How about a cross brand comparison chart or videos. I throw all the Big B brands and it might be nice to know how a Unruly vs Mighty vs Mastermind compare.

I would like to see drilling information/ball layouts for people like myself (old timer here) that have slower speeds for example such as 12-15 mph along with lower revs.

…… you can't  add a physics term to a bowling term and expect it to mean something.

Hot chicks on trampolines should drive in a lot of the traffic and adsense. Worked on the man show in terms of ratings.

Great idea, but I don't think my girl would approve of getting a trampoline.

How about a pin up vs. pin down reaction comparison?  Two of the same ball, drilled with pin same distance from PAP.  Then change surface from shiny to dull (or vise versa).

In the closing credits include a shout out to all the fine, upstanding citizens from ballreviews.com?  Or rather, the guys from ballreviews.com so you're not lying... ;)

Maybe a pain, but would it be possible to create a section where you talk about tournaments that you have recently bowled in, what you saw with regards to lane conditions and your look/equipment, transition from early to late, etc. ?

I think many of us would find that to be interesting, informative, and possibly educational!

Thanks

Scott

Good idea there, Strapper.  I could do something like that with the blog section. Can add video to talk about those things.

Lane, nice idea there. I normally only drill 1 of each, but can make that video with a Melee Cross. I have a few of those.

And a CGNOMADDAH comparison? I think 3 videos was plenty on the subject. It still doesn't matter. :)

What if you added a once monthly or bi-monthly 1/2 hour podcast and place it on there.  Have a guest and it would be a good spot to advertise something.  You could have a couple general topics, a guest and maybe a tweet of the day / some type of small promotion tied in w/it.

PM if needed on ideas.   :)

Remember GTGT when this idea takes off.....  ;)  ;)

Nice site, looks very good.

The Finger Method-The most scientific method to lay out a bowling ball and the most used method on the PBA Tour truck.

If trampoline videos are out how about a bowling chic of the day page?  Tell KW she can be first.  Or at least the NS vs. KW HoH results for tournaments in which you both participate.
