Warp zone and Slayr to complete my arsenal?
« on: January 14, 2004, 06:36:06 PM »
I finished another post with this, but looking for opinions....

I think I'm going to get the slayr and also a warp zone to complete my arsenal....( I have a raging, a regular inferno, and frenzy)

It will look like this:
*Warp Zone (I don't have it yet but..drilled to hook in a flood -4x4, 3 3/8 x 3 3/8 pin low but in the "safe zone" because of my high track, does this sound right? any opinions?)
* Raging inferno (I love this ball, 4 x 5...pin on side of ring)
* inferno (5 x 4.5 pin above ring- sanded to 800, I'm really starting to like this)
* Frenzy (5 X 4.5 pin above ring- 1,500 finish)
* Slayr (5.5 x 4.5 pin above bridge- out of the box finish?)

how's that sound?

I like it - the Slay/R is going to be a DART with that layout - should work on anything short of a sidewalk.
I would like to see one more ball between the Frenzy and Inferno though - perhaps a Bruiser/Time Zone/Fire Quantum.

I think I'm going to do the slayr first, I need a dart....

I definately want the warp.......it looks like a great one!

Fitting something between the inferno and the frenzy might be tough...this darn frenzy is pretty strong!  So much for the 'n control coverstock...LOL!

Yeah - so much of the medium range balls depend on the lane surface, oil, and pattern as to what works and what doesn't. And - everyone has a different idea of what 'medium' is. Making it even harder, most super-wall house shots make it hard to judge a ball's characteristics. I've seen some shots where everything in the bag was playable - just a matter of finding the best carry.
I just don't like the idea of having an 'arsenal' without a Powerkoil 18 reactive in it.
