I’ve only thrown it on synthetics. First few games on a Christmas-Tree medium-heavy fresh house shot. It worked great there – as I stated earlier it got down the lane clean with a decent backend and excellent hit. I threw it again today on a much tougher shot – 39ft fairly heavy sport shot very similar if not the same as the PBA “C†pattern. The ball also played this pattern consistently and very readable. Good hit and carry. I was able to play this pattern between 12 and 15 board for a LOT Of games. Of course, it was just me and one other bowler throwing a Carbide Bomb and a Black Cherry Bomb. It would not recover from the OB area right of the 10 board, but nothing else would either. Early impressions are that it’s going to be very versatile. I’m going to drill up another once it gets here with a pin over ring finger layout and a smoother surface.
I played all of the above conditions with both the Raging Inferno and the Warp Zone. On all conditions the Warp Zone was just as clean through the heads, predictable through the mids, and had more backend than the Raging. I’m now set for “oil ballsâ€. If the shot demands a straight line I throw the Raging. If there’s any room at all the Warp Zone is the one.
