« on: November 06, 2006, 02:45:42 AM »
Please post a reply stating EXACTLY WHAT ADAM OWES YOU. I want to see how many people are being screwed here...

He owes me either 2 Raw Dooms, or $140.

Please DO NOT HIJACK THIS THREAD. Only reply if he owes you something. Thanks

No communications via BR.com, PayPal, or Email... But his 10 days are not up yet.

PayPal is saying it could take up to 30 days... But since Adam said 10, that's what I'm going by.

We'll see...

I also reported lane1who to the admins the second he posted that reply... But I haven't heard anything of it yet.

money if he still has it in his bank account
paypal can send it to our account via
a payment.

Adam sent me a couple PM's yesterday in response to this thread. One of them was to say that, "PayPal told me it would take 10 days, so that's why I said that... I can't be sure..."

The other said, "PayPal says that if I don't respond to you, then they will be FORCED to rule in your favor... I don't want them to rule in my favor for any reason."

So, he's still around and reading these posts. I suppose he has no control over PayPal's policy in this matter... But I'm still holding him to his 10-day mark.

Thought file claims were made at the earliest of the 6th. That would make tomorrow the 10 day mark.

PayPal's site says this for what it's worth:

quote:
Step 2 - Seller responds to claim (10 days)
The seller has 10 days to respond to the buyer's claim. PayPal will notify the buyer when the seller has responded. If the seller chooses not to respond, the buyer's claim will be granted.

Please keep in mind that active participation is essential to the claims process. Prompt communication helps us manage claims efficiently and fairly.

Well, I received this from PayPal just now:

quote:
After careful review, we have concluded our investigation of the Buyer
Complaint described below.

We have decided in your favor, however, we were unable to recover any funds
from the seller's account. As stated in the PayPal User Agreement, recovery
of funds associated with a Buyer Complaint cannot be guaranteed.

Please know that we will make our best effort to recover the funds in
question if they become available in the seller's account in the future and
will take appropriate action against the seller. Such action may include
issuing a warning, a temporary restriction, or terminating the account.
Keep in mind that PayPal uses a number of factors to determine when to take
action, including member complaints. Due to privacy laws, we cannot discuss
the details of any action taken. We hope you understand our policy and that
it assures you that you are safe using PayPal.

It seems Paypal ruled in my favor, however they could not recover any funds.  I e-mailed him telling him that I want a money order mailed to me within 48 hours or I'm filing charges against him.  I will follow this thru until I get my money.  If anyone knows his address please e-mail it to me at mattgabb@comcast.net.  I will get my money one way or another and if your one of his friends keep your friggin mouth shut because I do not want to here you stick up for him. 48 hours from now I better have a money order sitting in my hand, period.  And trust me I'm not some little punk snot nose kid who makes promises and doesn't follow thru.

Ok, not being a smart a** or sticking up for Adam, but stop and think about what you just said...Unless you live relatively close to him, you know snail mail takes more than a day or two.  Again, I am not trying to be a smart a**, just trying to point something out.

Thats why I told him specifically in the e-mail to overnight it.  I believe with all the crap he has caused, it is the least he could do.  If he mailed it out tomorrow I would have it on Monday ( I understand it is the weekend), that would be sufficient to me.

This piece of crap has scammed us all and simply delayed the inevitable by pulling this ridiculous stunt... TIME TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION!
