I was fooled...sorry guys TMaxx11 is a deadbeat
« on: February 13, 2004, 07:14:24 AM »
FOr those of you that I swayed into believing he was a good kid I apologize. As you may or may not recall I entered into a deal with this guy (Chris Lawrence) where I was to get a like new Traxxas TMaxx radio control monster truck. In return he was getting a NIB INferno, NIB Frenzy, used Mutant, 6 inserts, 3 slugs and a towel.

I sent the stuff out and was then informed that he no longer wanted to do the trade because he had sold the truck to somoen else on here....speak up if this was you....PLEASE!!!

Well he got the stuff and then agreed to send it back with the shipping fees I had incurred reimbursed. But he wnated to swap out the Frenzy for a Smash/R he had. I said OK.

Well he allegedly got into a car accident and was sitting in the hospital. I sent emails and they were answered by his "mom" and she said that she would send the balls back to me...that was over 3 weeks ago. I inquired several more times about the where abouts of my equipment and I have gotten nothing.

Now his address is the same as the old Matt Wagar that hosed everyone on here....does anyone have the phone number that was posted before for Wagar??? My package was signed for by what looks to be Joann Wagar but I cannot get a phone number based on his address. According to my sources his address does not exist.

If anyone could help me out here I'd appreciate it....please help me keep this at the top!!!

Christ Doug, I can't find it either.  Was this address Fort ??? in Michigan?  Maybe Michelle can find out something.  Seems to me she found the number earlier.  If i remember correctly this Wagar kid used to have packages delivered to his grandmothers house across the street from him.

Hammertime was succesful in getting charges filed against one of the scam artists.  This is two or three time for this kid, sure hope you can get legal action started on him.

I'll keep searching tomorrow when things aren't so busy here at work.

Thanks SrK....I found it.

1-810-385-3358 is the phone number. An alternate was 1-810-385-0972

I found the old post by doing a search on wagar and that's what I got.

What's the best way to approach this? I mean he's got:
NIB Raging Inferno ($145), NIB Frenzy ($90), lightly used Mutant ($65) 3 set sof inserts and slugs ($45) and a Storm Towel ($10)...total of $355

think I can get anyone's attention with that figure? I do have a buddy who I went to high school withthat is a lawyer...wonder if he could draft up a nice legal letter for me???

Hey Doug,
Get in touch with "HammerTruck" on this site. He got the ball rolling on the deadbeat "Hookmonster". He got the local police involved and now "Hookmonster" is up on charges of fraud... got his girlfriend for being involved as well.
Last post from "Hammertruck" stated that most would end up getting back their money or stuff... guess the loser still had some of it.
Good Luck,

Doug,

I was the person that had the LONG post about matt wager(wagner)or then aka xxxpipologyxxx-----it appears he has learned nothing.

I hope everything works out for you. The city was Fort Gatriot (I THINK). I hope that helps.

This guy is a dead beat.

It was Fort Gariot,MI 48059 .  and I think some one found a number using his fathers name David Wagar. This guy {Matt} was also using the last name of Wagner.

This past problem with this Matt person was under the For Sale Forum. Set your preference to a year to read all of the postings.

Doug, let me know if you would like assistance in drafting a letter that is also cc'd to the District Attorney up there.  I still think that the scam artists on this site would be best served by having a sheriff's deputy show up on the doorstep.

Additionally, because you are located outside of the state of Michigan, it is also technically a federal offense that can be prosecuted at that level.

It is time for people to learn that even a couple hundred dollars worth of bowling equipment is best paid for in cash as opposed to taking a chance on having your life screwed up (remember that little checkbox on employment forms on whether you have ever been arrested or convicted?)

Doug,

Please post the shipping address.  I lost a NIB 15lb Inferno to Matt Wagar.  It sounds like Matt is building a bowling ball arsenal at the expense of others.  Let me know if I can help.

Maybe we should start a Bowling America's Most Wanted List on the site with shipping addresses to avoid sending balls to thieves.

Address is:

6067 Catawba Road (Drive?)
Fort Gratiot, MI 48059

I have posted the phone numbers previously.

Called and spoke with Mom this morning. Mom is NOT a happy camper. It seems that he swapped out the balls I sold him with 3 others and then sealed the box back up. He took the box to mom and said that I had changed my mind on the deal and I was going to send $$$ to have them returned.

He traded the Raging for the Executioner and  also traded off the Mutant.  Gee, that's fewncing stolen merchandise isn't it? And since it is across state lines that almost makes it a felony...right?

What about using an assumed name and email address? I dealt with TMaxx11, not xxxpipologyxxx. I shipped the balls to Chris Lawrence, not Matt Wagar.

Mom is supposed to call me later today and let me know what's going to happen.

I was also given the name of his ball driller so I think that this situation would be something he would be interested in knowing...don't you think???

Again I thank everyone for your help.
