Finally, the monkey is off my back.. LOL!! I had not shot 300 in League since 2001 and did it tonight the 2nd game with my Resurgence..

I started out with the Momentum the 1st game and didn't miss the pocket but had some carry issues (three 10 pins and two pocket 7-10's) and shot 193.. I then pulled out my Resurgence and put 12 in a row together..

The lanes where dead flying the last game and went back to the Momentum and shot 203.. Not a bad set at 696, but the lanes where tough tonight.. ALOT of carrydown..

Thanks guys... Does anyone remember when Columbia had a deal where if you shot a 300 with one of thier balls in league, you got a free jacket?? It seem like I remember that a few years ago..

To bad they don't have that anymore.. I could use a free jacket!! LOL..

Nice shooting Jim! I may be giving away my age, but I remember when my uncle's bowling center gave $300 to the bowlers who shot 300 in league! Ebonite even gave bowling bags and a little goody bag when you shot 300 with their ball. Keep up the good bowling, Bruce

Bruce, I also remember when bowling centers would give you a cash award for shooting 300, not anymore.. I know its not that big of a deal to shoot 300 anymore in USBC competition but it was still fun!! LOL..

It is a shame how bad the USBC awards are for shooting 300 though, very sad..

Congrats on the 300, did you have to make any move when going from the Momentum to the Resurgence?

justdale and Long Roller,

I actually started the first game with the Momentum and was playing where I normally do. Throwing the ball over the 3rd arrow out to the 5 board and then back to the 1-3.. No problem getting this ball back from there.. I was hitting the pocket, just not carrying. There was alot of practice on our pair before league started so they lanes had carry down when we started. On a side note, I used the Momentum on fresh on Sunday morning and it was awesome.. I think thats where this ball is gonna shine..

I them switched to the Resurgence and moved everything 5 boards to the right.. My feet and my target, So I was playing more down and in.. This is a great place for me to throw this ball.. It eats up carrydown..

All in all, a great 1-2 punch IMO..
