which ball is the better ball for heavier oil, and what types of reactions does each ball have?

Alter Ego is particle and Full Throttle is reactive. The Alter Ego will grab earlier and be smoother down the lane. The Full Throttle is a bit more angular, and has more energy in the backend. Depends what type of reaction you want. Both balls work well.

Personally, I like the A/Ego better, but particles fit my game well. I also prefer the smoother reaction. I have thrown them both. Platinum has the reactions described exactly.
