I take Xception to that reference ; it is much more than that. It must be.

Looks like a velocity shell and a bully core should be a pretty good ball overall since i like both balls. But i doubt i will buy one of these since i am on a bowling ball free buying diet for a whole two weeks now!! I did fall off the buying wagon yesterday and bought a mint Morich WMB from Jkiser so i guess i cheated on my diet oh well

Don't Chris and Wes look like total Badarses in that ad?

The website seems to contradict itself on what coverstock is on this ball.  In the description part, it says that the ball uses the new M80^2 cover, while the ball specification section says its M80.  Also, it does say that the ball is a Red/Black/Gold PEARL, so that would make it different from the Bully.

I'm still waiting for my Schoolyard Bully

Um, unless I'm mistaken the Backyard Bully is IDENTICAL to the Bully. Dead nuts. Same core (Rg, diff) and same 2000 grit coverstock.

I have to assume (hope?) that the Backyard Bully is either pearlized or at least half pearlized given the difference in hook rating -- but their website schpiel says nothing about pearlization.

Not cool.

Greg,

I thought at least you would my inference.

The Columbia website describes the ball's color as
"Red/Black/Gold Pearl"

Looks like a pearl in the graphic. Likely is a completely pearl verison on teh bully.

Nothing wrong with that! i welcome it with welcome arms, i was going to be drilling a second bully and polishing it sooner or later.

I have two Bullys currently, one at about 1000 and one shined up with 2000 grit Degree polish. The shiny one has good length but the backend reaction is a solid moving but controlled kind of hook. The dull one is an earlier reaction and is more of an arc off the dry. I expect that the BackYard Bully will be a more of a skid snap kind of reaction with some huge backend.
