the OG Chaos was black. I think a black remake would have sold better.

When was the last time you saw a C300 ball go down the lane? I bowl in 2 different centers and 2 different travel organizations and I can't tell you the last time I saw a C300 ball thrown...

I miss spares with a late logo Blue Dot every week, what are you talking about  ;D
And actually I might be the only one who paid money for The U2 Classic. Need the grip changed though and really I probably should avoid urethane period, so it doesn't get thrown.

But I suppose they're pretty honest on what they think will sell too: "Bright colors on balls that hook off the lane"  :D

There are quite a few higher average bowlers in my center throwing C300--- staff and non -staff alike, and doing extremely well with them.

I roll my 6 year old Smack Down all the time in my Thursday league. Just have to cleanup the cover every 40 games or so, best Columbia ball for me since the yellow dot :)

I use them to round out specialty spots like the ultimate oil sponge EPX T1 and the weakest reactive you can buy (Scout/R).
Here today.  Gone tomorrow.

Used to love C300 “back in the day”, and thought I would try one.

Bought a NIB Impulse solid. Drilled and out the door for $190.

I literally never bowled a complete game with it. Probably threw it 25 times down the lane, total.

Pulled the inserts out and the last throw was into the closet.

Anybody need a prectically new, 14lb Impulse solid?

Tried a Track or Hammer lately? Just curious.

I had a teammate that drilled a C300 Tyrant end of last season. Ball was a complete dud.

Yeah, the Tyrant wasn't a big hit around here either. We get the oil to use something like that too.

Seems like the EBI brands have been making their high-end balls with more down-lane shape lately though. It shows, I like what I see from a lot of it. The market is still dominated by Storm around here though.

Wow. This thread seems to be about most everything except the Chaos. ::)

I’m a certified ball whore and own many of the current and recent releaeses from most of the major brands. What I can say is that from my overbloted stash, if I was told I could take only 2 balls with me to a tournament, they would be the Chaos and the Eruption Pro Blue — both Columbia 300 pieces. These 2 balls cover 90% of what you will see on THS and sport shots as well as most other two balls combos on the market. I’m not saying this from the standpoint of being a Columbia homie. It’s an honest assessment of picking from everything I own.

Don’t confuse the lack of what you see around you with what’s effective and what’s not. That’s too narrow of a way of looking at things.
