« on: December 25, 2006, 01:32:35 AM »
OK.......I know this has been covered ad infinitum BUT has Col. 300 worked out their problems with the EPX T-1?  Are the ones being sold now good NO cracking problems and if one develops are their distributors standing behind them?

Thanks!

There is no new version of the Catalyst cover.  Everything we had in inventory was sold.

If your looking for a stong ball for some oil I would recommend the Action Max this ball loves oil.

There's an overseas version call the Riccochet Rebound EPX-A1. Has the same core as the rebound with the catalyst cover. I have two of them.

Here's the link:

Yes I'm sure that this is the overseas release but I only handle the domestic sales for the mid west, but I think that ball was made the same time the T1 was built.

YES,  but like in the case of the track strike machine,  these "so called" overseas releases made a left turn and ended up here!!!!!!!!!!!!

now i don't know if this ball is the "exact same ball"  as the first epx.  but having drilled both models, and getting feedback from bowlers throwing both models,  there to me seems to be a slight difference.

and as in the case of the track strike machine,  this second epx ball seems to be a great ball,  and i am sure if pro shops had them,  they would sell.

we were able to get some strike machine "overseas releases" and they sold well.
and the feedback on the ball was excellent.  just yesterday a fellow who drilled up a ricochet epx, told me how much he liked the ball, and how well he was scoring with it.

i wish columbia would release some of these "overseas releases"  here!!!!!!!!
cause that'a where they seem to end up.

and you say you handle the midwest area????

Jls the ball is not the same as the domestic release and with the power of the internet anything can happen with these balls as we have all seen.

JJ, what is different about them? The ball specs & core seem to be the same. Is the formulation for the coverstock different?

Sorry Righty you are correct they are the same balls, I was thinking about the AMF version of the catalyst cover.  Sorry.

No problem, I just thought the cover may be slightly different. I do like the darker color of the riccochet.

I've seen a lot of T-1 that were also darker in color, then again I saw a lot of lighter colored one's too.

I believe the core is different in the overseas one. They did a video review on the Japanese ABS site and they were drilled the same and had the same suface but the read the lane completely different.
