getting the snap back in my momentum, need help please!
« on: March 04, 2008, 05:55:39 AM »
ok so here is the problem i am having, when i first got my momentum this ball snapping hard at the backend and now after 30 games or so it seems like the ball has just gone dead. so i was wondering if there was anything i could do to get the snap back in the ball?
thank you,

If you haven't polished the ball since you bought it, it's likely that the ball has tracked up to the point where it's burning up energy too soon on the lane and not storing for the backend.  I would take it to the pro shop and ask them to repolish it.

If polishing doesn't work, it may be oil/grime saturated.  Since C300 is made by Ebonite now, it's also possible that it's absorbed too much oil and needs a session in the revivor oven (CPR, Hook Again, pick your treatment) in order to restore the original reaction.  Personally, I use Clean n Dull after every set and after about 50 games, I hit it with some Power Wash with an abralon pad on a ball spinner in order to pull some of the oil/grime out of the ball.  But even then, it could need to have the oil baked out,  that happened with my Rival and I was shocked at the amount of oil that came out of it.

Best of luck.
