I have a question for everyone to ponder, since ebonite bought columbia and all that, do u think the value of a columbia ball (new or used) will increase due to them ceasing to exist?

NO, they will not increase in value. Columbia balls will still be made, just in KY instead of TX..

As always, it depends on the ball and people's perception of it.

When Faball went under and Ebonite bought the Hammer name, only a very few prized Hammers have been in demand; and they were/are mostly urethanes. Their only resin ball that is still highly desireable is the SLedge Hammer and they're are now darn few of those which are new.

They'll be lots of new Columbia, Track, AMF and Dyno-Thane balls around for years to come, I'd guess. Pro Shops and distributors are probably now getting ready to hoard the ones they believe to have value.

Yes, Columbia equipment will still be made through this transaction, however, keep in mind you will see alot more altered coverstocks than the M80.

that all depends, I know someone who has an Ebonite V2 on ebay right now that's at $227.50+shipping!!!

It's all about supply vs. demand!!
