« on: February 28, 2005, 10:43:22 AM »
My ever jumpy green Messenger is in the shop, just seeing if anyone has ever punched one up with the pin at 2" from PAP, wether i go pin 10.30 from cg  stack or 1.30 depends how much TW it has. pin under the bridge was just not smooth at the break at all for me.

The pin under the bridge is not necessarily smooth. It is, however, smoother than the same ball with the pin next to the ring finger or above the ring finger or above the bridge. You have to compare apples to apples.

You might be using the Messenger on too much oil OR on too short an oil pattern. Before re-drilling, you might try adding a little bi tof surface to the ball by sanding VERY LIGHTLY with a green nylon pad or 600 grit sandpaper by hand. You have to test it after a VERY light touch-up. Then see how it reacts.

I took it from shined down to  a light pass with a green pad, then up to finishing with Clean and Sheen.Just couldn't get a look i really liked. A little bit late to mess with surfaces now too, already set the holes up for plugging! I post how i went next week sometime.
