It's the TEC Messenger replacement basically.  Particle Shell, Ti-Core for heavier oil.

Not really, it'll be for heavier concentrations or what most call medium/heavy, basically the most hook in the messenger line but less hook than the Wow, Icon 300, or Throttle.

Looks, and sounds, an awful lot like a Total Chaos.

I just saw one at a trade show on Thursday.  It is not particle, but enhanced SuperFlex.  It is supposed to be the hookingest(nice word) of the Messengers.

Hooks more than the Hyde??(also has superflex?) Looks like over lap in reaction.

Well, it might cover the same oil amount but it would probably have a different ball path, IF it keeps the Messenger Ti core, which is more flippy than the Hyde's core. It is a version of Columbia's force-a-ball-to-arc type of core; it seems to make a ball very even reacting. So the Hyde in box form is more likely to look like an old fashioned curve (mellow arc) while the new ball is more likely to have some length and then more defined hard arc than the Hyde, with the same drilling, on the same oil.

All the new balls with the enhanced SuperFlex are more snappy and strong (except for the Wicked B/R/T which comes more compounded, like the Hyde).

The Messenger Traction has a reactive shell ( Superflex family ) with the same proven core used
in the previous Messenger Ti series. The RG is 2.509 and the differential is
0.050. It comes with a 1200 Grit finish so it has an earlier breakpoint than
previous Messenger Ti's and is smoother at that breakpoint.
