Need Help Picking a Ball
« on: March 14, 2006, 12:34:54 PM »
I've encountered a lane condition in my classic league that has been giving me fits.  It's a new house with the same Brunswick lanes that were in Baton Rouge last year at ABC's.  Five to the gutter is OB, there is light oil in the track area, and a very early break point.

Last week, out of desperation, I pulled out my old orange Piranha and openend the lane up for me.  Problem is that the ball isn't really legal anymore due to being too small (too many resurfaces)

So my question is, what can I buy that would be similar to the original Piranha?   Now, I realize that there are several reactive balls out now that are low-end.   I guess, something with a weak, solid reactive coverstock, yet with some kind of a decent core in it.  I heard that the Piranha retro was a completely different ball than the original, so I don't know if that would fit what I am looking for.
