New Columbia 300 releases! Antics/Disruption/Smack Down!
« on: May 29, 2013, 05:03:49 PM »
Antics
AR 300
As in Awesome Reaction 300… sometimes you just call it what it is!  The AR 300 cover is cleaner through the front of the lane than previous high performance releases and unleashes some awesome backend motion!  AR 300 also rolls great polished which makes it one of the most versatile high performance balls out there!

Hi-Dynamix
The new Hi-Dynamix core is one of the most dynamic cores we’ve ever produced.  With a medium RG, High Differential and High Mass bias, the Antics core helps the ball produce awesome mid lane and backend motion.  For a core this dynamic you’ll love how well it handles the transitions too!

What To Expect
The Antics is one of those fun balls to throw.  It’s always fun to see your ball hook in the backend and we’re giving you more of it on medium to heavy oiled lanes.

Disruption
New Era Solid
New Era has never been used in only a Solid in any ball we’ve produced with a New Era cover.  Because New Era is a pretty clean cover, we’ve created even more back end reaction by removing all the pearl from the ball and give the New Era cover a little more traction.

Resurgence Core
If it ain’t broke don’t fix it! That’s why we’re sticking with the Resurgence core. The Resurgence core will go down in Columbia 300’s great history as one of the most successful cores we’ve produced. The low RG and Medium Differential make this a great choice for all styles.

What To Expect:
This core and cover combo will bring Disruption to the bowling world when all you do is strike.  We’ve taken our mid-performance line to the next level with this ball and we’re causing an uproar by giving you too much performance without disrupting your bank account!

Smack Down
Bring-It Hybrid
We’re ready to Smack Down our competition with the all new Bring-It coverstock!  This hybrid cover will run over any medium to heavy condition with a strong mid-lane motion and great continuation.

SD Medium Rg Core
The Smack Down core has a medium RG and a high differential.  This core puts the tool in your hand to Smack Down any condition that gets in your way.  The medium RG helps the Smack Down get further down the lane before the high differential kicks in for some awesome continuation!

What To Expect
Expect to possess the ability to do exactly what the name says… Smack Down!  Medium to Oily conditions will not be able to stand up to you when you give them the Smack Down!

Cant wait for these new toys!!!

If the Smack Down ball with Bring It cover does not smell as if someone in Columbia likes The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) and his catch phrases..... I have no idea how this happened........

I can't wait for the Boots to A$$e$ ball personally, but yeah.

Back on topic...agree with the other poster. Same cover/core combo AGAIN? Oh well...it is what it is and if it sells well, more power to you.

What part of "New Era has never been used in only a Solid in any ball we’ve produced with a New Era cover." are you people misunderstanding?

The fact that it is New Era....again. All they did was take the base and add some slip agents (pearl). Fact is they start with the same exact cover, again.

Storm's done this sort of thing with R2S how many times? There are too many balls on the market as it is, how many more useful innovations can there really be?

How many names that can't be scoffed at are left?

Note, I said useful... I'm sure most of the companies out there have coverstock technology in the R&D phase that is no more useful than rolling rough granite down ice.

And quite honestly, I do not use Storm because I do not match up with them but they are just as guilty as anyone else. I do understand that reusing cores makes a huge financial difference in the breakeven point for a ball in terms of sales and reusing a cover does the same...lowering a breakeven point is good for the company. The problem is, the constant use of the same cover over and over for individuals who use 1 or 2 companies can become repetitive and building an arsenal very difficult for Columbia lovers, or Storm, Roto, Hammer, etc.

For me personally I am looking forward to the Disruption because with the solid polished cover it will be a little more ball than the Violent Eruption which would sometimes skate in the oil.  Really looking forward to the Smack Down just because it is a new core and cover combo.  The Antics looks great if it is cleaner in the fronts than the Enigma, the Enigma would sometimes react too much in the fronts and mids, so this ball will be the ball to switch to if that happens.

For me, I am looking more forward to the Antics than anything.  I need something to fit in between my Violent and Enigma.  I thought about a Vow but saw on here that those that had both the Vow and Violent; those balls were pretty close together that they felt they didnt need both.  Then I thought about something like a 811C/T but was told to wait until the new releases came out.  So it looks like the Antics is right in that wheelhouse.

It has been over a decade since I have thrown a Columbia branded ball.  The Disruption looks like something I want to try, especially for the reasonable price.

Columbia is guilty of continuing to use the same cores. However , so are other companys. I know this makes alot of you upset. However , I love the fact that they do this. By changing only the covers , It's easier to make the correct ball changes. You can go to a ball with the same core in it and know exactly what to expect as long as your layouts are close. The resurrgence core is amazing in my opinion. I can't wait to get the disruption. A ball with more backend and continuation compared to a violent eruption. You have to be kidding me. The disruption and smack down are both new covers. A solid oppoed to pearl or hybrid. I know columbia well enough to know the reaction will be different than anything else in their lineup. I only own columbia 300 equipment and have around 20 bowling balls. If you don't the reaction will be different , I challenge you to try either the smack down or disruption. You could be in for a huge suprise............ Anthony.
