Resurgence or Cell

Iam hearing alot about these two balls and cant decide which is better of the 2. If you have any experience with any of the balls please share.

I would recommend the Cell since the Resurgence is kind of condition specific. If you want a ball with incredible mid-lane and backend use the Cell. It also take to surface adjustments really easy. I've heard mixed feelings on the Resurgence, but there's no doubting that on the really thick and long stuff it's quite a piece. So it really depends on what your using it for, but I would think you'd get more use out of the Cell.

I think these balls are probably very similar.  I haven't thrown a Cell (yet).  I have a Resurgence drilled with the #3 drilling ( pin above bridge, CG in palm) and although I agree with the box finish you need alot of oil, if you put it at the same finish as the Cell (2000 abralon), it's very usable on the fresh (medium to heavy oil) and I haven't thrown a better oiler in my lifetime.  Some people will tell you the Resurgence is an oil sponge and is meant only for heavy oil, but IMO, so is the Cell.  I've seen Cells with 30-40 games on them(have a buddy who works in a pro shop) that bleed as much oil out of them in the Revivor Oven as Ones and NVs from Ebonite.  I would imagine my Resurgence will be the same way.  

I think it comes down to what you need as a bowler, if you need a little more help from the ball, I think the best bet is a Cell because of the Asymmetrical core and what you can do with it from a layout standpoint.  If you're looking for a strong, but more controllable reaction, I would go with a Resurgence because of the symmetrical core.  Not saying that the Cell can't be drilled to be more controllable, but I think the Resurgence is better for that based on what I've seen from the Cell so far.

From what I seen the Cell would be the way to go. The resurgence I've heard too many people saying it died in about 30 games, that would turn me away right there.

I currently have a Resurgence and have spoken to others about the Cell. From what I have been told the Cell is a few boards stronger then the Resurgence. I am planning on getting a Cell to use in a PBA Regional using the Shark pattern, taken down to 1000 grit Abralon. Also will be in my bag for Nationals, should work well at the BTM.

I own a Resurgence and it definitely hasn't died and I've bowled way more than 30 games with it.   People that say balls die usually have 1 of 3 issues:
 
Ball needs to be polished/touched up because it's got a nice track burned into it

Ball needs a trip to the Revivor Oven because they don't take care of it.  

Attempting to throw a ball that needs oil on bone dry lanes, ball burns up so early it doesn't have a chance to store any energy to hook.  (my personal favorite)  Why doesn't my super aggressive ball hook, but my plastic ball does ???

I have a Resurgence for almost a year. About 90 games on it. Smokes the Cell anytime, anywhere!!

I have both and for me they are completely different balls.  I drilled the Resurgence for heavy roll in heavy oil.  Pin in the ring finger (about 4 1/2" for me) and a 20* cg (mb).  At 1000 abralon I tried this on our heavy league shot and the Shark pattern.  Similar reaction on both, move left, 5th arrow or so, boom it to five and listen to the screeching at 42ft as the ball immediately goes left.  Not quite what I wanted.

The Cell is fairly strong 4 1/2 x 3 1/2 and is just a nice smooth roll with a hard arc on the backend, but it doesnt bounce off the dry.  On a medium to medium heavy, I like the Cell.

Dude, are you serious?!? I just looked at your stats......there is no way you are throwing anything from the 5th arrow out to 5 on the Shark pattern. You really need to stop drinking the Kool-Aid and wake up. I throw 18-19mph usually and my Resurgence is drilled pin under, in the OOB cover, which is 1000 Abralon if I am not mistaken. I clean it after every set, so it hasn't "died" and what you say is impossible a that ball speed, I don't care how much hand you have.

Still, Shark on wood should not allow that much angle. Who knows maybe you are telling the truth, but personally, I do not believe you.

Believe me or not, nomaddah to me.  I am just giving my experience and opinion on these balls.  Even at 1000 abralon and this layout, it is super clean through the front and has a tremendous back end.  When threw it in practice on the shark, I could not believe it, nor could my driller, but it did it on the 3 shots I threw it.  I put it away, moved way right, and threw my Cell for most of the night.
