The flyer I received from Classic Products, and here on ballreviews.com under new balls it says the same thing, Reactive, Particle cover stock.

Cut and pasted from C-300 website.
quote:
Spirit II
When we team up with our urethane supplier, BASF, the game catches on fire. Well, we’ve ignited the lanes again with our new Spirit II. You’re game for this high-performance, polished pearl of a ball that won’t polish off your budget. When the two peice performance core and the reactive particle coverstock light up in medium oil, sparks fly. So turn up the heat. Enjoy the fireworks.

Also listed with the following in the ball specs.

quote:

core:::   Proven light bulb shape core with top flip block.:::    Creates dynamic ball properties generating track flare to increase friction with the lane.

cover::: Reactive :::    We teamed up with our urethane supplier BASF again to bring you a great coverstock at a great value.

So we still can't tell.

I would probably buy one, if the rg diff didn't fall off the table on the way from 16# (0.043) down to 14# (0.029).  Even so, it's better than the original Spirit, which checked in with a pancake-like 0.020 in the 14# version.
