Thinking of redrilling my Total Bedlam
« on: June 02, 2010, 05:47:21 PM »
I think I made a mistake.  I drilled my TB way too strong.  I underestimated the strength of the cover stock.  I punched it up 35 x 4 x 35 and it picks up a roll in my backswing...lol.

I''ve tried the ball with multiple surfaces, P800, 1000, 2000, 4000 and 2K plus polish.  It still reads the lane early with polish, partly b/c I have to more towards the track and partly b/c of the layout.  In addition, adding polish to the coverstock makes the ball overlap with other balls I have.

With surface, it reads early and occasionally hooks out on me.  I could save it for lanes with more oil, but I rarely see more than what I was throwing on tonight.(sport condition, believe it was the winding road)

Not sure what to do, as I plan on purchasing a pure physics or pure swing and put a much more usable layout on it....like 65 x 4.5 x 30/35.

I have a pure swing and mines is drilled w/ the all purpose layout off the drilling instruction sheet.  I have a lot of hand and on a THS, I usually stand on 18-20, aim for 10, and my break point is 6-5 with ball speed around 16 - sub 17 mph.  Hopefully this can give you a little insight on what the pure swing is capable of.
