Wild as a skid/snap?

I have a question regarding the Wild...I have already posted a review on the Wild stating that I tamed the backend on mine and then it cracked, blah blah blah.  I have another Wild coming and was wondering if this would be a good skid/snap ball.  I'm looking for this to be somewhat of a third ball (fitting behind a Freak and a solid reactive, similar to a v2 sanded) in the arsenal.  I would basically want it to get down the lane and make a fairly hard move on the backend...a snap, but not necessarily a 90 degree turn.  Speed around 15mph, prefer hitting the side of the ball, but can hit anywhere on it, and am comfortable playing anywhere on the lane with any hand position.  I envision this ball to be the ball I go to when the heads start to burn up and there is carrydown, meaning a ball that will get down the lane and still have enough to kick up and take out the 10 pin.  Other balls I have considered for this are the X-Factor, the Silver Streak Pearl, the Blade Pearl, and the Jekyll.  Any thoughts would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks much all.

No dude, this ball does MOVE, with the proper drilling. Mine hooks to much for my use..

speed is around 15 mph...would that be medium speed to you guys?  Perhaps, am looking around for an original wicked, gonna see if my driller happens to have one, what would you suggest as a proper drilling for the Wild to get a nice skid/flip reaction?

I think the Wicked would roll to early for you with it's low rg, high differential and your ball speed.  While the Wild has a Scout core it has a stronger Superflex cover.  It will make a hard move on the backend but there may be better choices.  I think there are too many choices in this category.  I'd recommend your pro shop guy making a recommendation.  He's more qualified to answer your question than many of us here who can only answer in generalities.

Yep,
I have a Wild too,I use mine for a spare ball as well
as a dry lane ball.The only thing I noticed was when you throw
it a little faster than usual or farther out the lane.It dosent come back as you would want it to.Its a comfortable ball,mean it hooks pretty CLEAN,well
at least for me.I dont know about a skid/snap,but I like when it does a skid/roll!Its been ok for me so far,I use it in my emergency left handed arsenal and I'm ok w/it.There are sooooooooooooo may B-balls out there,just experiment.Not too much,I does get a little expensive.What I do for that is
BUY a used skid/snapper!!

First of all, do not even think about the original Wicked.  All that ball is a resin Rock On.  At least that is what I was told.  It would roll way too early for what you are looking for.  I think the Jekyll is a good choice because I have heard it is very close to a Cuda 2000, which was definitely a skid/snap ball.  The Wild is not known for a snappy backend.  Yes, anyone with alot of hand could probably make it snap. Also, if you have pretty clean backends, anything will pretty much snap outside of plastic and urethane.  But, no, it is not a true skid/snap ball.  Another way to go may be the Savage Flip.  I know it is not Columbia, but it may be what you are looking for.  Otherwise, I would suggest the Jekyll only because I talked to a person here who has a Columbia ball contract.  He has both the Cuda 2000 and the Jekyll and he stated they are very, very much alike.  I would put maybe a 5 x 3 type of drilling in it so it will conserve the energy to get that desired snap on the backend.  I hope this helps you out.

Thank you everybody for your comments, I've decided to use my new Wild for sort of a down and in reaction, haven't gotten it drilled yet though, but will report my findings afterward.  And I decided to go with the Silver Streak Pearl as my big skid/snap ball, and will again report (hopefully) my successes with it.
