Wraith High Flush - thoughts
« on: November 06, 2007, 11:36:47 PM »
I wanted to see what everyone's thoughts are on the Wraith High Flush. I currently have a Rival which I throw most of the time and a Resurgence which I have thrown once or twice (just not enough oil around me, lol). I have the Resurgence mainly for PBA regionals and other tournament shots.

In that regard, I have a Dynothane Energy drilled with a 5 1/2 - 6" pin to PAP that I was using for dryer shots and shots with carrydown. I won't be able to throw that in PBA regionals anymore. I was thinking of replacing it with the Wraith High Flush. I going to put a medium flare drill in it (#3 on the sheet I think, Length with Strong Arc), and shine it up. Has anyone else tried this? And what are everyone's thoughts in general on this ball. Thanks for your help.

I think its a good ball, it carries well for me. I had mine drilled up yesterday and threw three games with it today for a 760 on fresh THS. I don't have the Rival but have thrown it a few times. I think the Wrath HF is longer and stronger on the backend, but still gives you a nice midlane reaction. I think it's a nice complement to the Rival. I havnt thrown the Dynothane Energy so I can't comment on that.

Depends on if your Energy had any resin in it or not????  There was a few batches that were straight urethane balls, i had one of those and it had to be really dry to use it.

Now that being said i have the Wrath HF and it is much stronger than the Energy ball, mine is 4 1/2 pin to pap, so it depends on what you have. If you have a urethane ball you will need to go down to say another urethane or maybe a Neptune.

My opinion:

Yet another skid/flip resin pearl.
Okay, it's sanded to 4000 grit instead of having a 1500 - 2000 grit polish finish on it. So it might handle a teeny, tiny bit of carrydown, whereas with the 1500 grit polish, it won't. Doesn't really change anything. This is the original TYPE of resin ball begun in 1993. It will always be with us. You have a choice of probably at least 30 or 40 of them currently available. This one is as good as any other ... I suppose.

I have seen little difference in any of them. Dime a dozen,so to speak.

Hey Big Man!!

The Wrath High Flush should be cleaner/longer than your Energy and about the same or a little more break point.  With your ball speed, this should be a good medium to dry lanes ball, drilled and shined like you said.  May be too much ball for really dry lanes, but when do you see that.

This ball has the core from the old Ti Boss II, awesome ball there.  You should like this ball, get it !!!  Now!!!

Mr. Austin,
How are things going up there in OK? You are still my hero!!

I have gone ahead and purchased it, picking it up tonight. The way our lanes have been on a few nights this season, I may even get a chance to throw it in league. I used to have the TIBoss II as well, which is what drew me to this one, along with the great reactions I have had with the Rival and Resurgance. I'll keep you posted.
