Arsenal For Fall/Winter Leagues ?
« on: August 26, 2005, 10:49:13 AM »
Hey I was curious to hear what folks are planning to throw this fall/winter in their respective leagues. Try to include as much info as possible. I recently made a few additions to my four ball arsenal for both of my leagues as follows (I'll post reviews later):

Heavy Oil - Track Phenom Unleashed (Burgundy Scotch surface, kept dull)
Medium Oil - MoRich Shock & Awe (This is my benchmark ball and always the first one outta the bag, box condition)
Lighter Oil - MoRich Sahara (Also in box condition)
Spares - Columbia White Dot, Blue Pearl (Polished)

With these four balls I can throw on almost anything I'll face in leagues; for heavier patterns I also have a Storm Triple Extreme that has been sanded to 800 and left dull.

No need for 5-6 balls. Pretty much as the follows:

Heavier: Ultimate Inferno- gonna redrill for leverage, take it down to 600 grit
Mediums: Absolute Inferno- 5 inches from PAP, OOB
Lighter: Backyard Bully- 5 1/2 inches from PAP, OOB

Should cover everything I see.

For league?  Impulse Zone in box drilled "dry," BVP Nemesis taken up to 2000 drilled 2L, Zone Classic Red Pin in box drilled "medium-dry," and one of a cast of many spare balls.

The tournament arsenal is *significantly* larger.

On edit:  This arsenal is subject to change at any time without notice.
