3M Automotive Scuff Pad
« on: April 04, 2006, 05:49:57 AM »
I picked up one of these pads today while I was at Autozone

Does anyone know what Grit it is? I have been looking for Maroon Scotchbrite pads and this is the closest thing I could find.

Thanks

Thanks I will check home depot to see what they have.  Oh and Blue is supposed to be 1000grit, Maroon is around 320 grit.

White Pad  = 1000grit
Light Grey = 800grit
Green      = 600grit
Maroon     = 320grit

A couple of the online places carry them, but I got my grey pads from Advance Auto Parts

The white pad is in the neighborhood of 1200-1500 grit.

The blue pad, by my best estimation, is close to 1000 grit, not close to the maroon's 320 grit. The blue pad needs a good deal of pressure ot make and inmpression on bowling balls. I have a bunch of them in the supermarket version for the kitchen sink, backed with a sponge pad. They're 2.5" x 4.5" in size.
