Finally...there is a Remedy! (edit)
« on: August 24, 2008, 07:24:26 PM »
I know many of you have been asking for a cleaner that lives up to the great results of our other products. Well... we've perfected the ingredients & dosage and are proud to introduce REMEDY RX. A prescription strength bowling ball cleaner which aggressively breaks down oil and grime while restoring the extreme tackiness of new bowling balls.
www.ValentinoBowling.com/remedy.jpg

Remedy RX is USBC certified for before, during and after sanctioned competition, so you can keep that out of box tack and recovery shot after shot! While being a strong cleaner, Remedy RX has a mild smell and is non-toxic.

Remedy RX is sold separately for $9.95 or with a premium plush microfiber towel for $15.95, or our new Triple Threat package (8oz. Resurrection, 8oz. Snake Oil, & 8oz.  Remedy RX) which is $35.95

just a note...all the bottles have a high quality pump sprayer, which evenly distributes the medicine to the infected area on the balls surface. We are also going to be selling new sample packs with all 4 products coming in a few days.

EDIT:
Alright, just some quick changes first we now have the sample pack back on the website, with all 4 products (1oz. of all the cleaners/polishes), 15 pieces of tape and 2 $1.00 coupons. The price is still $3.00. This is a great way to tryout all of our products right before the season starts! limit of two per customer.

http://www.valentinobowling.com/shoppingcart/products.php?product=Sample-Pack

Second, we have updated and enhanced our shopping cart php code, which fixed the weird shipping errors as well as the error of putting two of every item in your cart with some version of Mozilla and Safari.

Finally, The fall season is here, HOORAY! Make sure your stocked up on our products.

P.S. look for a new updated website coming soon, with more graphs, pictures, testimonials, all that jazz.

Ummm, I hate to rain on your parade, especially seeing how excited you are, but you're a little late to that particular party.

So I can use Remedy on my Remedy and cure it all???

Aww, that ball was so long ago, in bowling terms, I'd bet even money that 90% of the bowlers here don't know what it was or even heard of it.

Mine remains a darn good benchmark ball.

Maybe for the kids but not us ole timers.

I'll try some of this and compare against Legends cleaner.  Glad it's allowed during bowling as I've never found out if Legend's was or not.

Kevin and Company were kind enough to send me a sample of their new cleaner a few weeks ago to test out for him.

I did 3 tests...

One at the house i do my videos at...very clean house, sprayed and wiped as soon as i got home and it did the trick nicely

Second test was at a pretty grimey house as far as lane dirt goes...again the cleaner had no problem getting everything off

Third test was with a friends uprising which had some BAD belt marks...sprayed it on, let it sit for a few seconds and with a little elbow grease it worked great...

There were 3 things i really like about it...NO ODOR, some cleaners can get pretty nasty...

The second thing i like is they picked an excellent sprayer...it doesnt let the cleaner get to runny, it actually covers the ball nicely...another + in my book, plus the bottle seems to be pretty durable, my great dane has knocked it off the table a few times now (her tail tneds to do that ) and it has survived every fall without even denting...this is a must for those of you who keep your cleaners in your bowling bags

The third and final thing i like is the tacky surface it leaves on the ball...similar to the tacky feel you get after you polish a ball with snake oil...

Great Product in my eyes...you can tell alot of thought went into making this as good as possible.

If anyone has any questions please let me know!

PS dont forget about the coupon code in my signature!

I use Legends ball cleaner for over a year yes it smells terrible but for dirt amd oil grime build up it's still one of the best cleaners on the market.

As far as I know, if it's not FORMALLY approved and listed for use DURING competition, you can't use it during competition. It's not banned so you can use it before and after competition.

I thought they were going to submit it for approval. I guess they didn't.

Nationals' own rules prevent touching the ball with anything but a dry towel DURING bowling. So not even water or spit is allowed, as far as I recall.

Due to the amount of acetone it is not and will not be allowed during USBC competition.  But that doesn't stop it from being the best cleaner on the market imho.

Oops, Sorry, Kevin, we seem to be hijacking your thread. It was not intended. I started answering other questions and got carried away.

Yes charlest, it will cure your Remedy-PHD, it's not like weak over the counter cleaners.

I know I am a tad (lol, just a tad) biased when it comes to cleaners, but Remedy RX is one of my favorite products we have. It gives my pearl and dull equipment a strong tacky surface, making shots easier to repeat because the backend is the same shot after shot. Not to mention it's a great price $9.95 for 8oz. The average application is about 2 to 4 sprays, so our cleaner will be helping you hundreds of games.

As for the USBC certification, no cleaner can be used during the USBC nationals, just due to the fact that it can be modified. Remedy RX can be used in League, PBAX Leagues, Local & State Tournaments, JBT events, and open play.
