GP2 coverstock question
« on: October 19, 2005, 02:20:20 AM »
This is the current layout:

3 1/2" PIN above and right of ring finger, MB kicked out to the right of & below the thumb, small wgt hole, OOB cover; drilled for Heavy oil.
The OOB finish is Ultra-Smooth, per the specs, while the specs recommends
Clean-n-Sheen as a polish. I have had my pro shop maintain the coverstock for me with Clean-n-Dull as a cleaner.

My questions are:
How will Clean-n-Sheen affect the dymanics of this ball's reaction ??? Should I have the surface roughed up with a scotch-brite too, and if so, which one ???
I ask because it's drilled to be condition-specific (for heavy/floods, I believe) and I was wondering what affect(s) the polish and/or scotch-brite rubbing would have on it's characteristics (increased versatility, go longer with a stronger backend, etc).
Any feedback to make me smarted on this would be appreciated
