Help I need to triumph!!
« on: April 28, 2005, 01:48:02 PM »
Ok here's the deal.I take care of my bowling equipment pretty well.I got a ball spinner for a birthday gift. After I bowl I clean my stuff or change the coverstocks of my balls for the lanes as needed.Unfortunately my friends have taken notice. My one friend wants me to resurface his Amf Triumph. He wants it like new.He has never cleaned his ball. Can anyone help me to get the ball back to new condition?I have sandpaper and scotchbrite pads.I also have clean and dull and Blackmagic polish. Can anyone tell me what to do to resurface this bad boy?I need it done by tonight, hope someone can help me!!!! Thanks a lot!

snowman4951 -- I would not recommend using a friend's ball as your first attempt at resurfacing, especially without the proper equipment.  To avoid developing flat spots, you really need a Taxi CAB with the proper grits of paper to go with it.  The best resurfacing jobs are done with equipment such as the Haus refinishing machine (Ebonite also makes one that has been recommended).  If you do decide to go into full refinishing, I would try it first on an old ball you're no longer using.  --  JohnP
