Polish Questions
« on: August 13, 2007, 05:00:56 AM »
I currently have a Total NV that needs repolished. (Just picked up the NVS, it is unbelievably strong off the later midlane so I need to get my Total NV further down the lane, like it was OOB.) Unfortunately, I only have Brunswick's Rough Buff and High Gloss available at this time.
Would one of these be comparable, say the HG to Ebonite's Factory Finish Polish? If so, would I still take the Total NV to 4000 and then apply the HG polish? Or would I need a different base grit with the HG to get back close to the original factory finish?

I've been waiting to order Ebonite's Factory Finish until the PowerHouse Clean & Dull has been repackaged and in stock. However, I've got summer league roll-offs coming up and I can't wait much longer to refinish the Total NV..

Also - My ball driller said I could just resand the Total NV to 4000 and apply NEO-Tac's Renew-It (which I also have) for an appropriately polished finish. Any thoughts on this?

fyi - I do have a spinner to apply the polish.
Thanks!

Oops, should have read the recent posts before placing my own.
Looks as though the "Rough Buff vs Ebonite Factory Finish" post answers the first part of my own questions.
Seems HG would be the approximate equivalent to Factory Finish.
Sorry..
