Simple Green?

Does this leave the ball with a tacky feel like some of the ball specific cleaners?

Use an equal amount of Simple Green, rubbing alcohol and water for a great cleaner that leaves the ball squeaky clean.

I've always just mixed it 50-50 with water. Just give it 20-30 seconds before wiping it off for best results.

Yes it does.

Polished balls will feel squeaky clean. Matte balls will feel nice and un-greasy.

for me
I like the 50/50 mix SG w/ water, but I think it still leaves a little to be desired on the feeling / finish, so I take a final step to remove the residue w/ windex, and for me it ends up feeling much better imo.

much more tacky, than just SG

dawg, what made you come up with windex & do you spray in on and let it set, or just spray and wipe? i usually use L.A Awesone with rubbing alcohol, 50/50, and use the spinner. i just spray as i'm wiping. is it better to let it set for awhile 1st? always looking for better ideas. by the way thanks for the gadget.

Any time I use a cleaner, of any type, I finish up by spraying the ball with water and removing any residue from the ball's surface.  --  JohnP

The only problem with mixes and off the shelf natural cleaners is that they aren't on the USBC approved list (Windex, Simple green, and jolt are on there). It only takes one person to complain and you'll get penalized, and trust me there is always that one crybaby person.

Even Remedy RX has had a sleuth of complaints from "those" people, which prompted me to get a letter from USBC stating when and how an acceptable cleaner can be used. I carry this and a copy of the rule book from now on. We've had to send the letter to a few customers who also have had run-ins with "those" people. Instead of fighting against Remedy you just need to embrace the tackiness and great cleaning, lol.

agreed, Remedy is the only cleaner i use now, works great, and in between games

I'm assuming he meant more of an at home cleaner, not during play cleaner.  I could be wrong though.
