UFO Bowling Polish
« on: March 29, 2009, 11:05:04 PM »
It's HERE!

After months of testing and reformulating, Valentino Bowling is proud to introduce our new extending polish, UFO.

The polish fits right in with our lineup of other maintenance products! UFO pushes further down the lane than Snake Oil and truly preforms on dry to medium lanes. UFO allows you to play you A game, instead of having to speed up or risk playing deeper lines.

The slip agent, classified only as Element 115 is unlike other slip agents or silicone's, it does not clog the pores of the bowling ball but reduces backend reaction. A simple application of Resurrection or a mild liquid abrasive will take off UFO.

We're offering an introductory price of $12.95 until April 5th, we've also got 2 packages including the new Hambone package (8 ounces of all 4 products, towel, Franken Tape)

Having tried some UFO, all I can say is it meets all the requirements Valentino's has stated for it and it is as good as all their other products.

While it easily adds 3-4 feet of length, it also reduces the backend and overall hook allowing you to play where you did before the lanes started to break down. Practically speaking you could have 2 of the same ball drilled alike and when you move too deep with the "plain" or untreated ball, you virtually move back to where you were with the ball treated with UFO. I've got to try that one myself.

And it was easy to remove, precisely as Kevin mentioned above: a 1-2-3 treatement with Resurrection and you're back to "normal".

unfortunately USBC considers good extending polishes to change the surface. So it is not acceptable during competition, but you can use it during practice before your first league ball.

On the other hand, we're in the process of getting Snake Oil approved for league use, as it does not contain a slip agent.

we've gotten a few questions about smaller sizes. After the introductory sale, we will have UFO in all sizes (4oz,8oz,32oz,gallons). Other sizes are being labeled and filled this week and will be added to the website April 6th.

The pricing will be in line with Snake Oil and Resurrection, 9.95 for 4oz, so you'll save 3 dollars buying the 8oz until April 5th.

Ouu...new polish is always exciting if you ask me.

I might give this a shot once I get some time to tinker with gear over the summer.  Looks like something I've been looking fore to go on my lighter oil gear.  Three cheers for Valentino Bowling!

Can I put this over an existing extender polish? The ball I want to try this on already has Ebonite delayed reaction on it.

Kevin,

Just ordered some UFO along with some of your sanding discs, if it is as good as the Remedy RX and the Snake Oil, I know I won't be disappointed.

We still have a few first time orders trickling in for UFO, so we are going to keep the $12.95 price until Friday.
