Vertex Mold Ball Spinner?
« on: May 01, 2007, 07:27:54 AM »
Who is using this spinner?  I'm considering buying the 1/2 hp model from Buddies and would like to here some opinions from those who are using this spinner.

Thanks,
Jermey

I like mine...but the on off switch broke!  I must plug and unplug!

Motor seems to want to let ball spin first before a lot of pressure is applied.

It has been good to me ...in general!

I have had mine for about a month and love it.(1/2 HP) Lucky, you should look into the foot pedal to solve your problem. It makes things so much easier.

I have had the Vertex 1/2 hp over 2 years and use it at least 3 times a week. No problems at all. Love it!

You can buy a replacement switch from your local Home Depot,Lowes or other hardware store. They only cost a couple bucks and about 5 minutes to replace. It would be alot easier than unplugging every time.

You can also just get a surge protector and plug it into that.  Keep that at your feet and you can hit the switch with your foot.

I have the 1/2 hp and haven't had any problems with it.  I don't use it as much as some of the other guys.

Tons of use!

Surge protector has my other items in too!

Several years now.

Found a switch at home depot....don't like compared to the heavier duty one on.

Will call Vertex!

Thanks,

I just spliced an on/off wall light type switch into the circuit. Been like that for 3+ years now.

Had my 1/3 hp for over 4 years, close to 5 - amazing and wonderfully torquey little SOB. WOuld recommend it to everyone. (1/3 hp was all they had when I bought mine; never even thought of upgrading to 1/2 hp)

I have the 1/2HP it works great. I've had mine for about 2 seasons. I looked at the donkee but, settled on the vertex because of price differential and the reviews on the donkee from what I read was that it was a bit unstable. I can't make that claim about the Vertex. I am very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone.
