Is 29/32 the correct size for drilling for finger inserts?

Thanks!

depends on brand . Usually 31/32 but if "lady" grips 7/8 is usual for most.  Larger sizes, 1 and 1 1/32

Indeed, some shops even bump that up a 64th or take it down a 64th to get a better fit in an insert without stocking the half sizes.

I havent seen pro shops drill the larger/smaller holes. But i have seen pro shops who dont carry the half sized put some scotch tape around the insert to make it smaller when putting it in the hole.

there are actually 3 different sizes.

The most common is 31/32

there is a ladies grip that is 7/8

Tirbo makes there bigger size grips a 1" diameter

Hope this helps!

I can't speak for anything other than Vise.
7/8 are available in sizes -1 or 17/32 through 6 or 3/4 in 1/32nd increments
31/32 are available in sizes -1 or 17/32 through 8 or 13/16 in 1/64th increments
1 1/32 are available in sizes 8.5 or 53/64 through 11 or 29/32 in 1/64th increments.
