drilling ?
« on: November 01, 2009, 01:36:44 AM »
if i was to take a solid  aggresive ball, with a 2000 ab finish, with a 3-4 pin , lay it out with pin above  middle finger cg under ring,im curious what type of reaction i might get,im thinking strong roll with a controld backend, any thoughts

the pin up is going to get the ball down the lane and the cg location should give you a smoother backend

but it depends on your pap if your say only round 4" from center span the ball would be more aggresive then for someone with a 5 or 6 pap

With your pap, that will be in the 5 1/2' to 6" range, so there should be little flare. There are two conflicting factors to consider. The solid coverstock with 2000 AB surface will start the ball early and keep it fairly smooth on the backend. On the other hand, the high pin(above midline) will cause a quick transition from hook to roll. The cg location will have little effect other than if you put far enough over to need a weight hole. All this is assuming we are talking a symmetrical core ball.
