Drilling for wood house and burnt up heads...
« on: October 06, 2008, 07:56:27 AM »
Im bowling on a old wood house, and the heads are fried.. the trouble is getting the ball down the lane and having enough energy stored to hit.. I would like to try and play up the boards.. any recommendation on a Ball or layout??

My Specs:

4 3/8 4 3/8

PAP - 5 3/8 -->

What kinda equipment and layout would you guys suggest?? my ball speed is medium to slow and my axis rotation is low! i kind of spin the ball and am having trouble still...

any help would be appreciated!

There's fried and then there's "fried".
All resin balls need some oil. Otherwise you need polyester. You may have to play deeper than "up the boards".

What are you using now and where are you playing?

im using a raid drilled 12 o clock and a leverage with a 3 3/8 from my PAP.... the leverage burns up a little early, and the raid hooks too much

Yes, a leverage drill will help a ball burn up quickly. However, a Raid is a pretty potent medium oil ball. There are 4 or 5 thousand ball alternatives. before you could say all resins are burning up.

If you like Ebonite, try any of several pearl resins (like a Bash or Clash) with a 5" pin to PAP or just put the pin over the center of the bridge, if you have an average PAP. Hammer: Cherry or Blue Vibe. Columbia: Jazz
These are just a few examples.

You might want to consider a MoRich Mojave.
