Quick X-Hole question...
« on: November 20, 2006, 04:23:21 PM »
Is this correct ?

I can use a flare reducing hole to make a ball flip more.

I'm NOT looking for more hook, I want more length and flip outta my Awesome Hook. The cover stock has already been adjusted, but it seems as if a X-hole could help a little more.

I know a flare reducing hole should give me more length, but will it add backend as well ?

Every ball serves a purpose, adding an x-hole is just for fine-tuning. The Awesome Hook (solid dull resin, ultra low rg assymetric) is meant for earlier roll and hook.

I think using a Reducing on that ball will just kill the reaction completely in the back end. The ball will still burn energy early, leaving even less reaction for the backend.
