Im not sure the core in the jazz is strong enough to make too much of a difference in ball reaction.  Would probably be straight on oil and hook a little bit off friction.

Went with pin under ring and cg slightly kicked out the jazz is alot stronger then I thought it would be.

Although it is polished, I understand the coverstock is supposed to be solid Super-FLex, not the pearlized one. All the length comes from polish and the high basic RG.

If you want to reduce the hook without redrilling, try using a polish with a slip agent. They reduce the backend and the overall hook. You might also want to take the surface to P4000 grit before using any polish on it. I''m not sure what the underlying grit level is on the basic Jazz.

Some examples are Valentino''s UFO (the best as far as I can tell), Powerhouse/Track Delayed Reaction and Neo-Tac''s Control-It.

My friend put 2000 + UFO on his Jazz that is also drilled pin under the ring finger. It resulted in a much more subtle move off the friction and allowed him to square up on the pattern.

Overall it made the ball a lot easier for him to use on our wet/dry THS and increased his carry percentage significantly.
