Rico on a Pain for a high tracker?
« on: October 13, 2006, 08:11:21 AM »
Im not 100% positive on my pap location, i believe its 5-5.25 out & 1/4-1/2 up

Will i have a problem with a rico on this ball?  I need something between my polished, somewhat weakly drilled BW & my overly aggressive TSA.  Im figuring a pain, OOB surface, & a rico drill should match up to that fairly well.

Any opinions on the drill?

Shawn

I drilled a Pain with the pin on the gripline, but still an inch above the center of the grip, low balance hole.  Not a true Rico, but very similar.  This ball hooks so much at my house with good backends that it could only be used with fresh heads or carrydown.  At the other house with brand new brunswick pro lanes and bad backends this ball does nothing.  I threw a doom with the pin under ring and it hooked fine.  I talked to couple guys throwing Pains, and they said the pin was too low, in their opinion.  From the reactions I've seen with this drilling, I think it would be too strong off the dry and too weak in the oil for this particular ball.  My brother and I have both thrown this ball at both houses and we are both high trackers.
