What to do?
« on: March 01, 2008, 08:59:59 AM »
So I have been having a problem with my ring finger being sore.  I recentley dropped the ring finger by 1/4 bowled well in our city tourney but bowled like crap in league.  I ended up spinning the ball as my boss told me that would happen.  (thanks TC you were right again).  So I decided to shorten the span again and adjust finger pitches but I'm not sure what to do with my thumb.  Over all span would be 4 1/8 x 4 3/16 (dropped span by 3/16)  My thumb right now is 1/16 forward and 3/16 under.  I'm thinking of taking my thumb to 3/16 forward and 1/16 under.  I don't have a alot of time city doubles and singles is next weekend.  I do have a somewhat short thumb and since I broke it many years ago I don't have alot a flexibility.  Meaning I can't touch the base of my pinky finger with my thumb.  Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Rob

Why do you say go away from forward thumb pitch? Just asking for you input.  With the shorter span this would put my finger crease about a 1/8 away from the top of the hole it would be fairly relaxed.  Sarge easter is a posibility just I don't think I'll have enough time to get prepared for doubles and singles next sunday.
