Good Friday morning to alll my fellow bowlers. Was just wanting to get an opinion from you guys who have done this before. I have a ball that I need to have completely plugged and redrilled. Ball is currently drilled leverage but I'm looking at moving the pin either over or under the bridge with the mass bias kicked out right of the thumb about 2 inches. In doing this, the plugged middle finger will end up in or at best right on the edge of my track area. So my ? is this. Which is more likely to happen? Plugged finger hole in the track area cracking or both plugged finger holes cracking after being drilled back into? About half the finger hole plugging would be exposed if I just move the fingers forward and keep the same drill pattern. Thanks for any help and have a great weekend.

I know recently a question was answered about plug and someone eluded to plug cracking if it the ball rolls over it.  In my experience that is such a rare, remote possibility that it isn't worth considering.  If a ball is plugged properly it should last as long as the coverstock does.
 
As long as the plug isn't on the backend flares of your ball roll, the plug won't hurt anything.

There should be no concerns with the plug cracking from the ball rolling over it or from drilling back into it. I try not to allow plug areas to be in in the track of the ball ever. It doesn't effect reaction necessarily but I just don't like it. I don't want the thought in my head ever that maybe the ball read a little late because it caught an extra flare on the plug.

Pretty much agree. If the plugging is done properly, there's no risk of damage even if the plug end up in the track area. The material just has to cure properly and make a bond with the coverstock shell. Poor plugging work, e. g. through brittle material, will crack, anyway.
From my experience, drilling into the plugs is more hazardous than an intact plug in the track area. Whatever you do, you will end up somewhere where the plug material thins out due to the drilling, and these areas are susceptible to breaking away. It's rather cosmetic, though, and a proper plugging minimizes risk here, too.
