will static weight rules change soon?

I hear a lot of people saying things like cg and static weights dont matter as much anymore. will the rules on whats legal to use change soon? are changes in motion already? or is it all just talk and nothing will ever change?

  Doesnt matter if they chenge the rules because people will STILL use the CG as a tool. The CG is a very effective tool used to push the excess weight to a precise spot that will allow you to punch a reaction tweaking weight hole. If they change the finished tolerances the cg may have to moved either more or less and the weight hole will still be where the driller wants it to be. So yes, CG does matter. Ending statics are pretty much irrelevent.

I think as long as there are still some older balls out there being used(pancake blocks), they cannot remove the restrictions in place involving static weights. It could be cgnomadda, but yes it does!

you'll find a better ball reaction by adjusting the coverstock to match the lane condition anyway.......

If the USBC removed the static weight limits, ball manufacturers would find a way to produce a ball with (for example) 10 oz of top weight.  By shifting the cg this could become 10 oz of side weight, then we would see a difference in reaction.  --  JohnP
