In general, the old one is earlier; the new one is, in general, slightly longer with a more rapid transition phase. The old one MIGHT hook slightly more, in general. I say "in general", because you cannot be specific without more information.
One very important ingredient you left out is where is your PAP? The pin's position with respect to your PAP is the most important part of the drilling for the ball's reaction.
