I've recently switched to dv8 after having a negative experience with another brand at nationals. I love the backend and continuation I am seeing, but this has created another problem. I need a smooth controllable ball that I can count on when the backends are flying. My first dv8 was the brutal nightmare drilled 55 x 5 x 30. I then punched a marauder to compliment at 65 x 4 7/8 x 60. Turned out to be just as strong and only a little earlier. I have a misfit yellow I'm gonna drill with a 6" pin up.My question is there another ball I should look into to fit what I need?                       
My specs are: PAP 4.5 over. Tilt 18 degrees. Speed 17 mph. 350 rpm.

Thanks for all the responses guys. Punched the misfit yellow 65 x 6 x 30 layout and came up with some easy length and smooth backend. Thinking another misfit with a stronger pin down layout with smoother surface to bridge the gap between the brutal and the yellow. Marauder is the real shocker of the group. I had hoped it would be the gap ball, but it is way to strong. I am gonna dull the surface and let that work for my heavier volume ball. Thanks again for all the help.

So a 5-6 inch pin to pap for moving in to open angles?

Look at a Hellraiser. I know, not the latest greatest. But it is a smooth ball by nature with a very adjustable cover. Hit and carry better than average.
