Has anyone adjusted the cover of the 44 Mag, to change the breakpoint?

Wow...the cover prep is "2000 smooth"?  For some reason I thought the box condition has some kind of light polish or really high grit of sanding on it as my 44 looks lightly polished and so does the other 2 that I've seen.

Did Dyno change the coverstock prep after the test balls were sent out or am I just not understanding what "2000 smooth" means?

2000 grit is pretty fine.  It will have a lightly polished look, even when there's no polish on it.  My Mutant is 1500 grit and right after I had it resurfaced, it looked lightly polished.

Yeah. You know, I had a guy in Jackson county. He had a little drum circle in his backyard. It turned into a drum circle four miles in diameter. You get a few hippies playing drums and next thing you know, you got yourself a colony.

Great! Green scotch brite was the answer. Reads nicely now in moderately heavy oil.

Thanks

you guys are saying its 2000grit sanded as the final finish, no polish at all from the factory?

--------------------
Currently in the 6 ball roller:

15lb. EPX-T1 - Stacked Leverage - Heavy oil
14lb. Enriched uranium - 1:30 - Heavy oil
15lb. Action - Stacked - Heavy to Medium
14lb. Absolute Inferno - 1:30 - Medium
15lb. Inferno - 1:30 Label - Medium
15lb. White Dot - Spare ball

Yes.  2000 grit is very fine, and will naturally have a polished look to it.  But it's not polished.  But on heavy oil, it just doesn't compare to the EPX-T1.  Oil gets into the ball regardless, it absorbs into all the microscopic pores in the resin.  The EPX-T1, you just give it a hot water bath and gobs of oil just float to the surface and presto, it's like new.  The 44 Magnum can't compare and won't last as long.

I know.  But not ten minutes prior, he posted the same "EPX-T1 is teh greatest evar" "review" that he's posted a dozen times already.

over rated in my opinion, and a mess trying to drill a used one with the oil oozing out of the ball while trying to align it in the jig.

Now the Animal.  There was a heavy oil ball.  Of course it can't compare to the EPX-T1 either.  And it would die in like, 10 games, even when I gave it a hot water bath.

Maybe this should just die a quiet, peaceful death.
