800 with Centrifugal Mass...
« on: December 29, 2005, 10:41:15 PM »
Well last night I got a belated birthday gift from the bowling gods...

...managed to put together a nice 813 (286-269-258) series with my Centrifugal Mass.  Ya I know a 286 is an odd score, but the ball jumped early on me leaving a 4-7-9 which I got two of.

To explain how great it felt would be difficult! For those of you who don't know I had broken my bowling hand back in Feb.  It was a tough road back with physical therapy and bowling with a 13lb ball for a while.  Once I had gotten my strength back I finalized a move down to 15lbs., changed my grip and tweeked my style.  Just feels great to have put together a good set again!

The Centrifugal Mass is definately a winner in my eyes now.  When I first got that ball to test out I could see the potential of the ball, but it took me a while to find the right coverstock prep and for the soaker coverstock to properly break in.  Now that it has its been my #1 ball on most conditions.

Goof1073,

What kind of coverstock prep work did you do ? I am
still trying to find the right one for this baby. I am
bowling on a heavier pattern, and would like suggestions.

Nice shooting by the way !

PocketRocket...I would say between 20-30 games before I really started to see the balls true potential.

thirtyclean...check my review of the ball, in there I listed most of the different finishes that I went through in testing the ball.  If you have any questions after that feel free to PM me.
