Any New Balls on the Horizon?
« on: May 24, 2006, 06:41:53 AM »
Other manufacturers have had some information leaking out for their new line-ups.  Anyone have any Dynothane news? A new CM? 44? anything?

The threshold.
I Have no Idea on the specs or cover makeup. Steve Jaros was throwing it on the shark pattern in league and it looked very good.

I've been looking for a heavy oil ball. I have a C-Mass but it seems better suited for medium oil. Would the Threshold be a heavy oil ball?

My pure energy is allergic to oil and it is at oob.  But my centrifugal mass cut right through also at oob.

HEY MAJM, If my CM sees any dry, I have to put it away.  You might want to look at the way it's drilled if it is not moving in oil.

What is the surface finish on your C-Mass?

A little birdie told me that, sometimes, when a ball comes out of the plant at Storm, the balls don't necessarily have exactly what finish they are suppose to.  My CM was turning when I first bought it, but after the birdie let me in on this, I brought my ball back to my driller and had him quickly hit it with an 800 grit pad and the ball came to life.  I believe, that this brought it to the correct OOB surface.  It is now my Heavy Oil ball.  I thought i was going to have to get a PE also, but it was not necessary.

I had not heard of that problem, but then again I'm not prevey to all info, just the offical leaker of new ball info, and a THH, (typical house hack) with a drilling addiction.LOL

"Supossedly", because I don't know the process, There are discs that sand the balls or polish the balls.  If they are loose or dulled out, they do not get exactly the finish needed.  Honestly, all I know is after Lonce hit it with 800 the ball is now a rediculous oil monster.  I was a little disappointed when I first got the ball on oil, now I'm looking for something less aggressive. I was hoping for the CM2 to come to the states, but it doesn't look like it will.

a .44 would be a good addition, excellent ball for most any house shot with some oil in the heads. I drilled on last week with a 4 1/2 pin to pap with mb at 75* for a very high average house bwler and it out hooks his Seek and Destroy by 3 boards on a fresh shot. He bowled last night shot 682 but got crushed by my Energy's 728. Ya reading this RR? Nice little set.LOL

I was actually thinking of an Energy or a ZR40.  Or, if something comes out in a pearl this year.
