Congrats to Dyno-thane on Win Numero Tres!

How about that all Dyno-thane Finals?!!

Steve Jaros used a glassed-up Anomaly in the semi-finals and then switched to the Vendetta Particle Pearl in the title match for the win.

I love the way that VP2 rolls. Length plus smooth arc = $40K!

Double D used the Vendetta Black and I think that was a red Vendetta he switched to.

Way to go Steve  I hope he wins Player of the Year.

I almost thought it was the 80's the way the VP2 had that length and arc!  Jaros was playing almost straight to the pins the last game.

You were dead on on the description of the VP2 Tony...long controlled arc...
right up 13!  Jaros utilizes D/T's very nicely!

Jaros shows us that you don't have to have 3000 revs and cover 25 or 30 boards his game is a very fundumental game great control doesn't try to make ball do something that it's not designed to do only player with three wins, great bowling

It looked like when he threw it the way he wanted to, he hit 13 at the arrows and swung it out to 8 board at the breakpoint, but he pulled a few that sat on 12/13 board all the way until just before the pocket. That gave him 4-5 boards of area - a wise choice of line and ball to play that line.

I'd like to congratulate Jaros as well.  He's definitely on fire right now.  Could you see the labels on his balls?  I thought maybe he just used 2 different V2P's.

Tony, would you mind taking his name out of the title so those who haven't seen the telecast yet won't have the suspense ruined?

charlest,
I didn't think I was going to see the show today so I taped it.....I'm glad I did because I was surprised to see how straight Jaros was playing with the Vendetta PP....I went frame by frame on a few shots, and because they were on Brunswick Pro Anvilanes, those break-point marks at the end of the lane make it easy to see where he is down there, and I'd have to say I don't think he ever got as wide as 8...it was more like 11 at the break...(thanks to the frame-by-frame)...he was just inside the second set of marks, which is at 10 if I'm not mistaken....

It almost looked completely straight....

Jeff,

While I have not studied my tape, I specifically saw at least one ball that followed the path I said, 13 at the arrows, out to 8 board; I also saw him skid one across the 13 board, going up high on the nose and leaving just a 4 pin. Otherwise, you know I would not have said what I said.

While his execution was not perfect, his tactics (selection of balls, release and line to play) were.

charlest,
after posting I started thinking about what you said, and did go look back, and definately saw him go wider w/ the Anomaly in game 1, and almost there w/ the VP2....I saw what you were referring to.....
