Ho. Lee. Moe. Lee.
« on: August 12, 2006, 12:24:29 PM »
Had my Threshold drilled by Mike Austin yesterday.  Threw it today in a tournament.  Pin and cap stacked, just right of my grip.  Surface, out of box.

I don't want this ball.  I've decided that someone with much less hand can use this.  But not me.  It's retarded how much this ball hooks.  About an arrow and a half more than my 44 Magnum.  Two arrows more than my Element Zr40.

I already have someone to give this to, so don't ask.  But if you are looking for a ball that rolls early and keeps going, I'd recommend the Threshold.

How much hand don't I need?  LOL

Seriously though, a ball designed for medium heavy oil that you decided to drill strong probably should outhook those other pieces by a significant amount.

Mine was so hook stupid oob it made me look like Rudy Revs, or Robert Smith, ended up with a 1500 sanded finish to be able to use it. Definitly a hook monster, never saw a ball spinning round and round inside the bag until this one.

I put a forward roll drill on it... My driller installed a new jg and something happened during the punching of the balance hole where the jig collapsed and I have 2 different pitched holes in one! I threw it enough to finish thumb slug bevel/fit. One thing is it grabs and rolls HEAVY... Should be golden in longer oil.

I just got mine today.  There wasn't any oil at all on the lanes I was bowling at, so I threw it once and put it away.  It started hooking at my feet and burned out quickly...I was dissapointed because I was really wanted to see what it could do.

Oh well....stupid bowling alleys in the summer

I told Tony to keep this ball if he plans on bowling any regionals, which he said that he does.  There is alot of oil at some of our tournaments.  I scuffed my Infinite One at the last one that used Pattern 5.  Tony hooks the ball alot, but he is gonna be sorry that he doesn't keep this ball.

I got one courtesy of Staffer Trea Ward.  Drilled mine with the pin about 1 inch above my grip center, CAP strong right of my thumb, no extra hole, pin in ball.  This ball is very rolly, but continuous.  Hooks only about 2-3 boards less than my Infinite One.  I like the way this ball goes through the pins, added just a little shine from a dirty polishing towel, man I like this ball, Tony is nuts!!!
