SUPPORT FROM D/T
« on: September 07, 2006, 07:57:46 AM »
In the short time I have been associated with D/T it never ceases to amaze me how the "brass" takes care of its customers whether it be a staffer, pro shop, or a first time buyer. Without going into details regarding my personal dealing with the "guys", they have gone beyond the call of duty to help an individual on a quest to make it in the regional arena. I made a simple phone call this morning to HQ, requesting certain data, recieved my answer and then asked for a minute of time regarding another issue, not asking for gifts or handouts but for a way to help a struggling regional guy out with equipment issues, without hesitation an answer was given and a solution was given. It makes me very profoundly proud to help represent this company through my small pro shop.

Phil, I salute you for hiring Billy as your #2, I can clearly see why you chose him.

Billy, I can not begin to thank you for your help, you should have heard the voice on the other end of the line when he was told this morning, thank you again for caring and sharing.......sb

Sweed, sorry for the plant not answering your problem, I'll call in the morning to see what can be done. I do not think it had anything to do with where you are or who you are, more likely the e-mail was over looked by mistake. The "Guys", are great customer servive oriented ppl, this one seems to have fallen through the cracks.

Swedish....I understand. I am having the same trouble and I live in Dallas, Texas.....not too far from the plant is San Antonio. So no, it's not where you live. I am in the process of posting on all the sites I know about their ineptness at responding to problems also.

Then why have a website if the only way to deal with problems is the telephone? This is not my first bad situation with Dynothane mmike....I had a proble like this with my last pair of Dynorooz.

Mike you sent me a personal message on this site, I simply stated that we could not know who you were from this website and that we could help you if you told us your email address and some detail. I do not think I was rude by any means. Emails to the office get answered in the order we receive them. As i have mentioned before if issues are pressing a phone call usually does the trick, we have impecable customer service if used correctly. Bashing customer service on this web site won't get any issues fixed.
Our web site gets inqiuiries world wide and the emails are all answered one at a time. In your case you sent me an email from this site and simply put your email address in your response. How could that help customer service solve your problem?

Mike
i do not work in customer service. You assumed that my presence on this site was to fix company issues so much so that you assumed a personal I.m. would sove the problem. I asked for more info in my response. I can however get someone who can. Please call the office 1877-828-7177 toll free and ask for Billy, I'm sure he can expidite you concerns.

I contacted D/T thru their website a couple days ago.  I have yet to receive a response either.  A couple days doesn't bother me, but if/when it comes up around 10 days or so I will post back.

Guys,

The problem is not all Dynothane it is more with the parent company Columbia.   Since D/T moved they have been using Columbia's customer support (with the exception of Billy) they are all new to D/T.  Their warehouse personnel are all Columbia personnel.  I have not had a single order come in with the correct items.  I've had wrong size shoes, wrong foot shoes (Left instead of Right handed) I can't request pin distances and expect to get something close.  Ordered 4 balls and requested no pins under 2 inches and 2 out of 4 came in under 2 inches. One of them was a second/blem (15lbs 12 oz) ball when I ordered a 15lb ball.  I'm not sending it back because it was made in 2003 so I know it's a Storm based resin (= great ball and it had the right pin).  Having seen the major decline since moving to Texas I have stopped pushing D/T.  I will still take a wait and see approach before I stop completely but I hope this is getting their attention.

Email is not the way to contact D/T for help.  I have never had any success going that route.  Call Billy, it's not his fault things are going downhill.  He is only 1 man among many incompetent Columbia employees.  Good luck Billy.

Remember in business most disatisfied customers don't complain, they just go away and never come back.  There have been a rash of people coming on this site complaining about disatified service with D/T.  I hope you take this to heart and not blow it off as a couple of people who are just flapping thier gums.  You have a real problem in your shipping department and you need knowledgeable support staff to help Billy turn the tide.

We are well aware of the problems and are looking into all of them. most recently we have found that many if not all of the email requests have not been getting thru via the web site. We have a glitch and it needs to be addressed. A very professional way to inform us is to simply call and ask if anyone at D/T had received your email. A very unprofessional way to inform us is to put us on the defensive and tell us our service stinks and that others should stay away.
Maybe we should apply the same logic when a bowler using our ball misses a spare or throws a split. We should tell the world how poorly that customer performed and didn't live up to our expectations as a customer.
