The NEW Thing
« on: August 05, 2004, 07:48:00 PM »
I personally think the new ball in the dynothane thing line should be called The New Thing but it turns out it is going to be called The Thing Lives.  Our bowling alley just got the dynothane catalog and it shows that another thing will be revealed later on in the year but on the reaction chart at the very end of the dynothane catalog they have it printed "The thing Lives" so this must be the new ball!  Doesn't have it about the new vendetta, anomaly, barrage or crisis though.

Bullet point four: Give your webmaster a fat paycheck

Oh by the way, the Thing Lives hooks too much.  I recommend adding some "sissy resin" to the cover.

Thing Lives now showing on pba approved list: Purple/Orange  8/9/2004

Let me guess....The Thing with a solid soaker cover?

Go on....I want more beans...

Well since you said the magic word... "beans"

The Particle Soaker idea that simply had too much of a limited audience.  It does not serve DT well to create a ball that so few people could use.  The engineers decided to keep the cover void of material additives (ie particles) and just make the Soaker stronger.  And it's my personal opinion that particle coverstocks have a very limited lifespan, which defeats one of the most important values of the Soaker... it's durability.

The Thing Lives features not just a Soaker coverstock.  It's a new flavor of Soaker.  I like to call it, Soaker wearing a red cape... with maybe an "X" on it for striking! (subtle hint there)

The core is new, although we've seen the parts before just not together... a hybrid if you will.

Ok, time to make some tortillas for my bean tacos.

I thought the magic word was "pie", but I guess it's only right that a messican should like beans more than pie, yes?

A superpowered soaker with a new but familiar core... sounds interesting.  I guess I know what my new ball for the fall is going to be!

I loved the original Thing, but had to sell it after 15 games due to a really bad speeding ticket.  Hopefully this one comes with some surface on it.  It seems like everything Dyno has been putting out is either Pearlized or at a high gloss.
