If this ball is/was so good...why has ebonite shelved it already??

I haven't had an opportunity to throw this very much yet. I have found most of my success in the track area and swinging it to the gutter. This ball was awesome from the outside. I used on E pattern in a regional and killed them with it. (I wish I would have gotten it out 2 games earlier)

Another fellow staffer, Riga Kalfas, loves this ball. I think it is the first one out of his bag everywhere he goes. He's a lefty with higher ball speed and a lower rev rate.

Well it took me 49 years to throw my first sanctioned 300 and it has now taken me only 50 years to throw my first sanction 800.  Bowling in the Senior League at Highlander bowl I shot 267-288-248=803 for the first 800 bowled in this house for the last 15 years and my first.  The Apex Aggression used was the same one I threw the (2) three hundreds with and is the old standby.

Seen other posts saying 30 games max out of the ball etc.  I've used it for at least 200 games with no change in reaction religiously cleaning the ball whether I threw it once or for the whole set.  I am convinced that this has a hugh bearing on longevity of the ball and consistent results when using the ball.  If I see the least little reaction change a light track sanding with a scotch brite pad and its back to normal.

It's still the best.

I bought this ball last year in hopes it would save my struggling game. It did help my game, but did not save it. When I got a coach to help my technique and my mechanics.....WOW!!! This ball snaps on the backend like no tomorrow and crushes the pins and keeps them low for the most part. When my game falters it's because I am ding something wrong...not the ball.

Overall, I would highly reccomend this ball for heavier oil. This ball will fly on dry.

What a piece, this ball has a consistant break point, but it is a high maintenance ball requires cleaning all the time.  If you go one time without cleaning this ball you have yourself a 200 dollar spare ball.  The best I shot with this ball was 257,258.225.  However that is with 9 ten pins.  With my reloaded I woulda shot 300 won of those games.  This ball is ideal for low rev arc ball bowlers everyone else.  Don't even touch it.

Wow Purdue Paul shoots 740 and says the ball isn't any good and he only has a 195-205 average.  What am I missing in this post.  And oh by the way you are supposed to clean your equipment after every use whether it be for one shot or a nine game block!  P.S. you may want to try moving up on the approach about 6" to help take out the 10 pins.

Let say that in the last year I went from a full roller to 3/4 roller I'm not a cranker by ant means but do have fast ball speed. I went to a ebonite demo days and tried it out. First game I shot a 268, I was sold. I brought my average up 25 pins on my league. But after one season this ball is dead. I can't believe how much difference there is this year. I can't even get a 600 series with this thing anymore and my average is way down. This ball has gone from heaven to hell. I've resurfaced the ball and it made it worse. I was sold at first and now have much regret for buying it.

sluggo i hate to break the news to you but welcome to the world of ebonite particle balls!! I have had three of these agressions' and its by far one of the best particle balls you can get. But when the balls get around 35-50 games on it the particles clog up and the ball just burns up and dies.

This is a great ball. Mine has well over 100 games on it and has not died. I use black magic cleaner on it after every use, whether it be 3 frames or 3 games. Like anything else you must maintain it, would you drive your car for 10,000 miles w/out an oil change and expect top performance? If you can still get this ball....I would highly recommend it for your medium to heavy conditions.
